Sohan Lal Agarwal – Non-Executive Chairman
Sohan Lal is also the Managing Director of Alchemist Corporation Limited (Listed Bombay Stock Exchange, India),
and a director of other companies. He is also working as Independent Corporate advisor and on panel of various corporates.
He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and having qualified in 1976. He is a seasoned Professional having over 40 years of experience in the various fields ranging from finance with the added experience of auditing of Public & Private companies, Government companies, Insurance companies and banks. Sohan intrinsically possesses a deep, comprehensive knowledge of applicable laws, codes and regulations.
Sohan Lal started in the year 1980 as an entrepreneur and setup business of Iron and Steel, suppled goods to various government, railway projects and other bid industries in private and public sector. He also has experience to work to GDA and other real estate projects. In 37 years of his business life, he completed and operated a number of real estate projects in the private and public sector in India and other places.
Sohan Lal has completed his Bachelor Degree (B. Com) from Meerut University, UP (India), qualified as a charted accountant and passed examination of ICAI in 1976.
Sohan Lal is married with two sons who are married and run their own business.
Raj Soni – Chief Executive officer & Director responsible for Corporate Social Responsibility
Raj is the 7th generation of a prominent precious metals family; he was born in India and raised in Kuwait. Raj and his family have been integral to the growth of the gold and precious metals business in the Middle East. Raj joined the family business in Kuwait in 1978 and helped expand it to London in 1981. Moving from Kuwait to the UAE in 1991 where the family established Ajanta & Empire Jewellers, which soon began to add other commodities to their business activities.
Raj is a seasoned entrepreneur and ambitious businessman looking to develop a bespoke range of Real Estate assets. He has a personal property portfolio comprising of various residential properties in UK, Mauritius and India.
He is now Chairman of BSRE which is currently developing a €400MM 120 Bedroom 5 Star hotel in association with Jumeriah along with 100 luxury Jumeriah branded eco-villas in Mauritius with a total project running into several hundred million euros – as featured in the Financial Times. This project is self-running which has afforded Raj the opportunity with free time which he is devoting to HOM Re.
Raj is the Vice Chairman / Director of HOM Re and has already begun leveraging his expertise and corporate management skills in line with his role. The high level of contacts that Raj brings has already resulted in opportunities being offered to HOM Re on an almost daily basis.
Raj completed his business studies from Polyglot Institute of Kuwait in 78 and BEC International from Paddington Collage in 1982.

David graduated from the University of Auckland with BSc Geology and BE Civil Engineering and he later completed an MBA from Cranfield. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer, a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a Chartered Director, and a Member of the Institution of Engineers and a Fellow of the Institute of Directors. He has a broad international experience and networks resulting from roles in New Zealand, United Kingdom, Norway, Kuwait, Switzerland, Malaysia and Mauritius.
General Manager of the Commercial Division of Kuwait Construction and Processing Company, Director of Operations of Swiss Property International, CEO of the Construction and Property Division of British American Investment Group and General Manager of Rinota Project Management. Chairman of SchindlerLifts UK, Director of Bramer Asset Management and member of the Investment Committee responsible for maximizing property portfolio returns for both private and institutional investors.
Dr Diliprao More – Chief Financial Officer & Director
Dr. Diliprao More has more than 21 years of experience in Techno-Commercial Analyst sector in USA – 3 years with World Bank as Project Officer and about 3 years with Asian Development Bank Deputy Director for Rural Development, 3 years on deputation to Government of Bangladesh as Director Germen Bank of Bangladesh, 7 years with UN Geneva. Till recently headed the Asian Development and Management Corporation Limited Consulting Organizations in India. The organization mainly form for SAARC Countries development.
Possess strong strategic planning skills with long-term vision. Wide range of experience State Governments in strengthening health systems, building capacity and social mobilization for Rural Development programs as well as with SEARC Countries. He worked for more than 10 years with UNDP leading the Rural Development Cluster at the field offices in most challenging situations of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Pakistan. This work has enabled him to acquire a wide understanding of the key policy and management issues pertaining to rural basic health for women and children at the grassroots level as well as at the policy level. His work with UNDP as Project Director (Rural Development) was directed at designing and development of project strategies, providing technical, managerial and funding support to agreed activities in National Health Program. He devoted significant proportion of the time for capacity building, the high level of program implementation and building the team. He provided leadership in mobilizing and building partnership among a wide spectrum of organizations for strengthening routine immunization program and polio eradication program in Bangladesh. The partners in this included Government and Nongovernment organizations, international organizations such as WHO, UNFPA, professionals’ associations such as UNICEF, Women and youth organizations.
After the service with UN and UNICEF, he developed Kiosk network in private sector in Afghanistan. This involved designing the Kiosk system based on situation analysis, operationalizing, building capacity through training, facilitating implementation and conducting operations research to assess the feasibility, acceptance, efficacy and effectiveness of the Kiosk system. Similarly he also designed and operationalized a telemedicine network for Tsunami affected people in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
Dr. Umut Utkan – BS, MBA, PhD – Chief Compliance Officer
Umut has had an illustrious career which has involved working with Merrill Lynch, Yapi Kredi Bank, Vakifbank and to his most recent employment at Dinosaur Bank in London. Umut’s vast academic experience also encompasses substantial professional training ranging from trading to portfolio management. In every instance Umut has achieved full compliance with the financial regulators from the Dubai Financial Services Authority, Malta Financial Services Authority, Turkish CMB, UK Financial Services Authority and the newly formed Financial Conduct Authority.
With such expertise Umut brings not only the role of treasurer but will also manage the audit and compliance functions of the business. Umut will be primarily managing the treasury services but will also leverage his broad international banking network to facilitate and nurture all divisions within the organization.
